An important thing about adding a signature to your photograph
I’m not a professional photographer but here is a tip which professionals too sometimes miss out.
You have a wonderful hobby of photography. You enjoy clicking snaps every now and then. Its fun.
Now its time you notice your photos are coming out very nice and you feel if it gets in wrong hand then he or she will use it for representation purpose and not credit you. Perhaps someone might even earn through it. You are loosing then.
So what you can do to avoid this is apply a signature on your photo.
Its not easy as it sounds. I’m sure if you know photoshop then you can do this in no time or use any photo signature software.
This is not the problem. The issue actually lies in the size and font style of the signature.
A very big font takes the attention off the picture and a small one is difficult to read clearly. And the font style is important to blend in nicely in the photo. Like you can not put Arial black font on a nice landscape photo.
Here below I will explain with an example,

See here is a nice sunset photo clicked by a friend of mine. The variation in colors of the sun are just perfect and having people in the foreground adds drama to the picture. Now the signature he has used is the one we use for typing and chatting. And has placed it in the center of the image using large font size.
It takes your focus off the picture.
Now see this one below,

Its a flawless photo clicked again by my friend and he has also enriched it by giving a neat border up & down. Now notice the font style and size plus the location of the signature. I don’t think I have to explain more.
I’m sure you got my point.
